Workshop: Welcome Watermelon Door Hanger
Sunday, May 17 | 2–5 PM
📍 1219 Sam Houston Ave | Huntsville, TX
$75 | Limited seating
Nothing says hello summer quite like a cheerful watermelon on the front door.
Join us for a relaxed Sunday afternoon creating your own Welcome Watermelon Door Hanger — a playful, layered porch piece that’s equal parts sweet, vintage, and farmhouse charm.
In this workshop you’ll paint and assemble a large scalloped wooden watermelon slice, complete with hand-painted seeds, dimensional layers, and a decorative bow full of ribbon, greenery, and texture. You’ll also add a charming flower detail to give your piece that perfectly handmade summer personality.
Our instructors will walk you through painting techniques, color choices, and bow-building, so whether you prefer bright summer colors, vintage farmhouse tones, or something a little more muted and rustic, your finished door hanger will feel completely your own.
By the end of the afternoon you’ll leave with a statement piece for your front door that will welcome guests all summer long.
And because it’s Granny Camp…
Expect snacks, beverages, cozy conversation, and a room full of women creating something beautiful together.
Bring a friend or come solo — this is the kind of Sunday afternoon that turns crafting into a memory.
Spots are limited to keep the class relaxed and hands-on. 🍉🍓
